May 2019

As many of you know, we renovated the school last month! We put up new wallpaper and replaced the floors and doors. We feel that the new atmosphere will create a great space for students to study in. The students love the new look of the school as well!

At Eagle, we not only want students to be able to study, but we want to help them develop their independence in order to prepare them for elementary school. Every day, students clean the floor after classes and put away their own belongings just like elementary school.

Starting in April, we started doing student of the month. Each month, we will pick one student who the teachers feel has done an exceptional job academically and behaviorally. This student gets to be the teachers’ helper for the month.

This month, the themes for craft and ESL were Mother’s Day, birds, and sea life. For Mother’s Day, the students learned why we have the holiday, and what to do for their mothers. For birds, students learned about many different kinds like penguins, eagles, peacocks, and sparrows. For fish, students learned about sharks, gold fish, crabs, and octopuses.
